Alhamdulillah.
It is with the favor & blessing of Allah swt that we were able to have a very successful IlmFest with well over 1500 attendees. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for supporting us and helping bring the entire community together. As Imam Joban put it when he saw Meydenbauer Center packed – “Am I at Eid?”
When I moved here from Michigan, people told me I was heading to a laid back city that wasn’t all that active in daw’ah. Alhamdulillah, after just hosting the largest AlMaghrib Seminar in US History (last November) and holding a larger IlmFest than the Bay Area (who had it just before us) – you’ve demonstrated to us all what a powerhouse Seattle is, mashAllah.
I know that IlmFest is not the end. It is just the beginning for the Seattle Muslim community – I look forward to seeing us all come together for regular events, be it focusing on outreach, our youth or our community at large.
So, what’s next for us?
It is with great pleasure that I announce that we’ll be hosting a highly sought after seminar on Surat Ar Rahman & Surah Yaseen by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi. If you’ve never attended one of our seminars before, I’d highly encourage you to do so – it’s a unique experience to see this level of detail presented in a professional, easy to digest and engaging way. Please mark your calendars for April 18th & 19th and secure your ticket at almaghrib.org/seattle
Lastly, I’d like to sincerely apologize for any offense I or any of our volunteers may have caused. If we have offended you in any way, please feel free to email and I will try my best to remedy the situation.
Jazakumullahu Khayran!
